VPN Initial Setup Instructions
Note: GHC’s VPN software may not be available for download at certain campus locations. Please contact IT (rt@highlands.edu) if you would like help getting this software installed and configured before planning to work off-site.

Go to https://access.highlands.edu and log in using your existing network/email username and password.

An in-browser process will attempt to detect the correct version of the AnyConnect client software necessary for your computer’s operating system and CPU. Please wait for this process to complete.

Note: The Safari (for Mac) and Internet Explorer/Edge (for Microsoft) browsers appear to resolve this process quickly.

Once the correct software is detected for your system, you will be prompted with a download link.

Below the download link, a button for detailed setup instructions is provided.
Follow the instructions to install AnyConnect.

- Once you’ve installed the software on your personal device, there is no need to visit this page in the future unless you need to download and install the client software again on another device.
