Transfer Applicants

 

Freshman Transfer 

  • Students who have attended a college, university, or technical school  and have earned between 1-29 semester hours and it has been less than 5 years since your expected high school graduation date.
  • Students must comply with both freshman and transfer admission requirements.

 Admissions Requirements

  • Be in “good academic standing” at last institution attend
  • Hold a general diploma from a high school that is accredited by a regional accrediting association
  • Have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.0
    • GPA is calculated by GHC based on grades earned
    • Meet Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) = 4 English, 4 Mathematics, 4 Natural Sciences, 3 Social Sciences, and 2 Foreign Languages in the same language
      • Mathematics courses must include Algebra I, Algebra II, Trig or Geometry, and one more above Algebra II
    • Meet current learning support placement standards based on ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer test score
      • SAT standards
        • 26 Reading and 24 Math
      • ACT standards
        • 20 English and 18 Math
      • Accuplacer standards
        • 67 Reading Comprehension, 5 WritePlacer, and 84 Elementary Algebra: 84

 

 

Traditional Transfer

  • Students who have attended a college, university, or technical school  and have earned between 30+ semester hours

 Admissions Requirements

  • Must be eligible to return to last institution attend
    • Transfer applicants who have been dismissed from their previous institution(s) are subject to the current GHC Academic Progress policy
