- Engineering majors are driven to use high-level math and science knowledge to solve problems, break down things down into smaller pieces, and build them back together, sometimes as a new thing. Engineering is applied mathematics.
- STEM courses are fast-paced and cover a large amount of detailed material in a relatively short time. Required Math and Science courses must be taken in sequence. Chemistry and Calculus-based Physics are essential. Non-major courses equip STEM majors with outside angles to observe and understand the world around them.
- This degree requires on-campus classes, but some courses can be completed online.
