The Pre-Engineering pathway focuses heavily in chemistry, physics and math. This is a two-year pathway that focuses on the beginning steps to preparing for a career in engineering. Students can complete this program before transferring to a university with a complete and accredited engineering program. By following a recommended sequence of courses this pathway can be completed in 2 years. Start your journey toward obtaining your degree today.

Pursue Engineering

  • Engineering majors are driven to use high-level math and science knowledge to solve problems, break down things down into smaller pieces, and build them back together, sometimes as a new thing. Engineering is applied mathematics.
  • STEM courses are fast-paced and cover a large amount of detailed material in a relatively short time. Required Math and Science courses must be taken in sequence. Chemistry and Calculus-based Physics are essential. Non-major courses equip STEM majors with outside angles to observe and understand the world around them.
  • This degree requires on-campus classes, but some courses can be completed online.
  • GHC’s Engineering degree is a good first step toward a bachelor’s degree in any Engineering to complete foundational math and science requirements. Majors should have an idea of what field of engineering they would like to explore next since many graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering move straight into the job market.
