Pursue Spanish
- Spanish majors desire to be immersed in the world of Spanish language and culture. They are equipped to connect with Spanish speakers and readers across a variety of industries and cultures—both in the US and globally. They are committed to mastering the language while also desiring to cooperatively and effectively communicate their ideas.
- Spanish majors are required to take at least four Spanish courses, so take one early to see if the major is a good fit. For those who are comfortable with Spanish and are interested in testing into a higher-level Spanish course, placement tests are available through the School of Humanities & Social Sciences (Click here for Departmental Exam page). Beyond these courses, students can select Humanities and Social Science courses that equip them in their desired degree and career.
- This degree can be completed fully online or with a mix of on-campus and online courses.
- GHC’s Spanish degree is a good first step toward a bachelor’s in any Modern Language (including Education), International Affairs, or any degree that focuses on crafting a message for an audience.
