Pursue History

  • History majors desire to know why people act and think in certain ways in any given context. They value listening to and representing various perspectives, which allows them to shift and adapt well to different settings and industries.
  • This degree can be completed completely on campus, fully online, or a mix of both.
  • GHC’s History degree is a good first step toward a bachelor’s in History (a common choice for students pursuing law school) or History/Social Studies Education.
  • History courses require a lot of reading and writing. If possible, avoid taking history and literature courses at the same time. Elementary Statistics equips majors to analyze data sets (economic, population, etc.). For bachelor’s degrees, History majors need foreign languages to effectively read primary sources, but foreign languages are often not required for Education majors.
