Pursue Exercise Science
- The Exercise Science major prepares students for various careers in the fitness and wellness industry. Students gain practical skills in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise training through hands-on learning.
- STEM courses are fast-paced and cover a large amount of detailed material in a relatively short time. Required core curriculum Science courses must be taken in sequence and are only offered on campus (Biology, Chemistry, & Physics).
- This program’s major courses (Field of Study courses) can be taken fully online, if preferred, but it is recommended to take your anatomy courses on campus, if possible.
- GHC’s Exercise Science associates degree is a good first step toward a bachelor’s degree in fields like kinesiology or sports medicine. Careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or sports psychology will require further graduate education after a bachelor’s degree.
