Who: will benefit from this system functionality?
Why: would you want to use each system function.
How: to complete each system function task.

Security Questions

IMPORTANT: It is highly recommended that you set your security questions before other self-service changes are made.

Who?
  • I forget my network/email password!
  • I'm a faculty or staff member and my account has expired.
Why?

Previously, you would have had to call or visit the IT department and have them assist you with resetting your password. Not anymore! Now, after you have set up your security questions (the first time you logged into the system), you can click Forgot Password. After answering your security questions correctly, you can reset your password.

How?
  • Click on the Security Questions tab.
  • Select two different security questions from the drop down boxes. Type the answers to the corresponding questions. These will be used in the event that you forget your password.
  • Click Update Security Questions.

  • Now, in the future, if you forget your password, you can click Forgot Password.
  • Enter your Username, Account Type, and Number Code. If the Number Code is unclear, click Generate new code and re-enter text in all fields. Click Submit.
  • Enter the answers to both security questions.
  • Enter your new password twice and click Reset Password.

Password

Who?
  • My network/email password is going to expire soon, but I don.t have time to come to campus to change it!
  • I'm a student and my first-time password is too difficult to remember!
Why?

How?
  • Click on the Password tab.
  • Enter your new password twice.
  • Click Update Password.

GHC Notify

Who?

I want to receive text messages on my wireless phone regarding emergencies, general announcements, and/or weather!

Why?

You will be notified of emergencies, general announcements, and weather alerts as soon as they are available.

How?
  • Click on the Text Messaging tab.
  • Enter your wireless phone number, choose your carrier and lists, and check the Terms and Agreement checkbox.
  • Click Update Text Messaging.

Wireless

Who?

I want to access the GHC wireless network.

Why?

Previously, you would have had to call, visit, or email the IT department and have them assist you with creating a wireless account. Not anymore! Now, you can accomplish this yourself (on or off campus) with this simple form.

How?
  • Click on the Wireless tab.
  • Follow the instructions to get connected with your network username and password.
