Calculators
The biggest difference between the
tests is that a simple calculator can be used during the test. During the
mathematics portion of the COMPASS test if you press the "L" key or click on the
calculator button the calculator accessory in Windows will "POP" up.

This is
what the calculator will look like in standard view. When the
calculator is active it will "float" above the test and you will not be able
to interact with the test until you deactivate the calculator.
It is important to note that when
the calculator is in standard view it will not follow
the Order of Operations.

If your prefer you
can change the calculator to Scientific mode with the view menu.
When the calculator is in Scientific
mode it will follow the Order of Operations
3 + 5 * 4 = 23
