Georgia Highlands College Wetlands Preserve

Located at the north end of Paris Lake on the main campus of Georgia Highlands College, this 20 acre reserve supports a wide abundance of wildlife in several different ecosystem settings.  An 1,200 ft boardwalk allows visitors the opportunity to conduct observations while having a minimum impact on the inhabitants of the preserve.  To preserve the sanctity of the wildlife and for the appreciation of the importance of wetlands to the environment, this area had been declared a limited access facility at Georgia Highlands College.  Tours of the area may be arranged for educational and community groups.
