Atlanta Pride. The Atlanta Pride Committee produces the annual festival and parade, commemorating the Stonewall Riots in NYC that launched the modern LGBT rights movement.
PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays). PFLAG is a worldwide, non-profit, volunteer and community-based organization of parents, family and friends of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered persons. The national site is: www.pflag.org.
Georgia Equality. Georgia Equality is a statewide political advocacy group.
Human Rights Campaign. As America's largest gay and lesbian organization, the Human Rights Campaign provides a national voice on gay and lesbian issues.
Gay and Lesbian Task Force. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Foundation (The Task Force) is the oldest national organization working to eliminate prejudice, violence and injustice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
