New Student Registration
New Student Orientations All students new to Georgia Highlands College are required to attend orientation except transients. Students are encouraged to attend early orientation sessions to register for the best selection of classes. If you wait to attend at the last orientation dates, you may not have a schedule that best fits your needs.
What happens if you don't attend an orientation session?
If you do not attend orientation, you may register on Registration Day. This means you may not get the best selection of classes or class meeting times.
All first time freshmen (those who have never attended college) are required to attend orientation. Registration for classes occurs at this time.
Transfer students are required to attend an orientation session to learn about our College, resources, policies and procedures which vary from institution to institution. Registration for classes occurs at this time.
Transient students are not required to attend orientation but may choose to do so. Registration appointments may be made in the Advisement Center or the Registrar's Office in Rome, or at any campus center.
