LARGE CAMERA BAGS AND BACK PACKS MAY BE SEARCHED BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING
Graduation ceremonies will be held in Rome on May 11, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. in the Floyd County Forum Facility in downtown Rome, #2 Government Plaza (turn west on 3rd Avenue off Broad Street). This site is centrally located in downtown Rome.
You will not be awarded a degree unless you successfully complete all requirements. Once final degree audits have been completed diplomas will be available for pick-up at any of our campus locations. We expect pick-up to begin June 3, 2013. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to pick-up your diploma at any campus other than Rome. Any diploma not picked up by July 1, 2013 will be mailed to the address on file with the College. We STRONGLY encourage students to pick-up their diplomas as damage or loss may occur when mailed.
Honors status for the graduation ceremony will be determined by your GPA as of the last term of attendance prior to graduation.
Honors are calculated on all credit hours earned at Georgia Highlands College.
Because we send lists of candidates to the printer to publish the graduation program and to various media before the final graduation status is determined, it is important that you remember that the publication of your name in the paper or in the graduation program does not obligate the college to award your degree if requirements are not successfully completed. We make every effort to ensure that name and statuses are listed accurately, but mistakes may happen.
Caps, gowns and announcements may be purchased in the Georgia Highlands College Bookstore. Please contact them for further information at 706-295-6359.
Prior to May 1:
- Pay library fines, parking tickets, and other outstanding fees.
- If you have had a student loan, check with the Financial Aid Office regarding your exit interview.
