Tenure Packets:Letter from faculty member explaining why he/she feels qualified to receive tenure. Refer to quality of teaching with specific examples. (no more than 1 page)
Vita: Information needs to be in chronological order with most recent date first.
Degree information at the top, then work experience including teaching, and service to Georgia Highlands College. Three Sections: Teaching – Service – Professional development
Goal Plan: (2-3 yr, no more than 1 page)
Do not include student evaluations or “thank-you” notes.
Three examples of course material which may include brief explanatory notes (no more than 5 pages).
Letter from a colleague in support (optional – no more than 1 page)
Letter to be added to packet by faculty member's academic dean (no more than 1 page):
References to student outcomes related to applicant’s teaching, classroom observations, student evaluations, and contributions to advising and assessment.

A faculty member must send notification of his/her intention to apply for promotion/tenure directly to the VPASA by e-mail or memo using deadline date noted on the VPASA’s memo.
