In-Service 2012 Stressed Teamwork

Faculty and staff gathered on Thursday, Aug. 16 for the annual in-service to plan for a new academic year and to meet and interact with colleagues from all campuses.  Phil Gaffney, athletic director, was the keynote speaker.  He introduced the new athletic staff, including the new women's softball coach, Melissa Wood, and the women's basketball coach, Brandan Harrell.  He also introduced two women from the inaugural basketball team.

A number of faculty members were recognized for earning degrees, and faculty and staff were honored with a number of awards.  Carole Abbot, administrative assistant in math and science, won the Vivian Benton award; Rebecca Maddox, director of nursing, won as outstanding administrator; Katrina Vernor took the community involvement award for staff, Devan Rediger took it for the faculty, and Jon Hershey received it for an administrator.

Years of service were also acknowledged.  To see all the photos go here.
