State-of-the-art Computer Classrooms
Georgia Highlands College classrooms feature the latest in state-of-the-art computers from Apple, including 20-inch iMacs and Mac minis. Future plans include a dual boot configuration whereby the end user can select from Mac OS X Snow Leopard or Windows 7 Enterprise. The computers feature large, bright LCD displays, large amounts of storage space and memory, and built-in webcams and speakers. Over 1,000 computers located on 6 campuses and sites are connected to an ultra-fast Cisco-powered network, featuring lightning fast Internet connectivity and full connectivity to the GHC network between all locations. Classrooms also have access to the GHC wireless network, providing fast 802.11n Internet connectivity. We're working hard to make sure our faculty, staff, and students have access to the very latest technology to further enhance their experience while at Georgia Highlands College.
