Student Success Coach
GHC Teacher of the Year 2015-2016
Welcome to my GHC Education website. I am excited that you have chosen to seek information about our Education program and am happy to provide you with some information for you to consider. We are a small, diverse, and progressive multi-campus institution of higher education with professors who are interested in students' success. We stand ready to assist you in navigating the college experience through personal relationship building, small class sizes, and student support services.
We offer multiple Associate Degrees in Education and these can be located in the GHC catalog on the GHC home page. Early Childhood, Middle Grades, Secondary Education, and Physical Education are among our most popular degree/transfer programs. Our Middle Grades Teacher Education program can be obtained completely in the online environment.
The requirements for each of these programs are outlined within the context of the catalog which can be found on the GHC Home page. Each Education course (EDUC prefix) does require a Field Experience observation in an educational environment. There are 3 required courses: EDUC 2110, EDUC 2120, and EDUC 2130 with each course requiring a Field Experience as part of your Teacher Preparation Program.
Students can take courses in a Face-Face format with classes meeting 2 days a week for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and can take web-based courses taught by GHC professors, with no campus orientation or residency requirements.
Should you need additional information, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com
I stand ready to assist you with questions regarding our exciting programs and helping to prepare you for the awesome field of Education!
