Interesting in taking English 1101 online in Summer 2013? Consider these points:

  • You must have reliable access to a computer and the internet. You would not get a job delivering pizzas if you did not have a car; don't sign up for an online class without computer access.
  • You must have basic computer and technology skills to navigate an online class. This includes full knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and common sense.
  • Some of our assignments require you to generate content and upload it to the web. You may be required to set up a YouTube or Prezi account, although you may then delete it after the class ends.
  • I foster an atmosphere of respect and open-mindedness in all of my classes. 
  • I encourage creative and critical thinking.
  • I want students who want to be here.
