GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
Any qualified person who believes that he/she has been excluded from participation in or denied the benefits of any service, program, or activity offered by Georgia Highlands College may seek redress by following the procedures below:

The person should attempt to resolve the complaint through informal conferences with the faculty/staff member involved.

If the aggrieved person cannot satisfactorily resolve the complaint through informal conference, he/she should direct his/her complaint in writing or in person to a Disability Support Provider.

If requested by the aggrieved, the complaint may be heard by a grievance committee. The complaint should be in writing with supporting information. The response from the committee will be provided in writing.

If the aggrieved person still cannot satisfactorily resolve the complaint, he/she should direct his/her complaint in writing to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.

If the aggrieved person is dissatisfied with results of any of these actions, he/she may direct his/her complaint to the President of Georgia Highlands College.
