If you're having problems logging into GeorgiaVIEW Vista, please read the FAQ's first. For further assistance, email GHC Information Technology at rt@highlands.edu or call 706-295-6775 during normal business hours (Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm; Friday 8:00am - noon) After hours please visit the GeorgiaVIEW Online Support Center website at http://help8.view.usg.edu If your account was not previously created, it could take up to 24 hours for your account to work.

1. Where do I access GeorgiaVIEW Vista?

2. What is my GeorgiaVIEW username?

Your username is the same as your GHC network/email username. To get your GHC username and password, print your Schedule/Bill.

3. What is my GeorgiaVIEW password

If you are a RETURNING STUDENT, your VISTA password has not changed. If you are a NEW STUDENT, Your VISTA password is the same as your "First Time Password" found on your SCHEDULE/BILL.

4. It says "incorrect user name or password" what now?

First, verify that you entered the correct username. Next, get your password reset.

You may stop in an Information Technology office at any GHC site for assistance with your account. The Information Technology department is available during normal staff hours, by phone (678) 295-6775, or through email via rt@highlands.edu

For help online or after hours: go to the Online Support Center at http://help8.view.usg.edu You can email, chat to a support representative, submit a ticket, or call 1-866-588-5293 to have your password reset or if you need help troubleshooting specific Vista functions/other browser related issues.

5. How do I make sure my computer is set up properly for Vista?

Run the Browser Checker to determine whether your current setup is compatible. This helps you identify which components of your computer will need adjustments.

Important: If your computer has Java 7, you may need to remove it from your computer and install the latest version of Java 6 from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp for GeorgiaView to function correctly.

6. Why doesn't a course I am registered for show up in GeorgiaVIEW?

If you just added the class, it takes one or two business days to show up. Instructors can also add registered students to a section they are teaching if you supply your username.

7. A new version of the browser has been released. Will it work with GeorgiaVIEW

If you're happy with your current browser, you may still need to use Internet Explorer as a "fail-safe" browser for GeorgiaView. This especially pertains to new versions of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. To check if a new browser version will work, run Browser Checker.

8. What should I know about using Office 2007 with GeorgiaVIEW?

9. I'm still having problems, what should I do now?

Georgia Highlands students have 24/7 access to a special Online Support Center, which which provides solutions many questions about GeorgiaVIEW. Visit the Online Support Center, click the "Self-Service" tab, and you'll find a comprehensive, searchable list of solutions. If you click the "Request Support" tab, you can chat live to a representative, submit a request ticket, or contact a service representative at a 1-800 number.
