GHC-Paulding Holds Second Annual Dress for Success
The annual Dress for Success fashion show was held Monday, Oct. 15 on the square in front of the Bagby Building. Organized by Alexandra MacMurdo as part of the Passport to Success program to prepare students for life in the business world, the fashion show demonstrated the dos and don’ts of dressing for work. Students modeled the appropriate attire for a business interview, while faculty and staff modeled inappropriate dress. Austin Wolfschlag, one of MacMurdo’s students, emceed the show. Faculty and staff members Jayme Feagin, Cara Kelly, John Kwist, Alexandra MacMurdo and Scott Powell were good sports about donning outlandish clothes that were completely wrong for interviewing. Students Jessie Summers, Taylor Summers, Christopher Paugh, Chance Kornegay, Dave Martinez and Evan Hogg landed the more dignified roles of dressing appropriately.
Passport to Success was created to help students prepare for life after GHC as they enter the ranks of working professionals. The program also included workshops about healthy living, resume and cover letter reviews, interviewing tips and mock interviews.
