GeorgiaVIEW Vista is the Learning Management System (LMS) used in all of your classes at GHC. Most of your classes use this system to house course materials, like the syllabus, course calendar, Power Point slides, and notes. Some classes use this system to administer quizzes and even tests. Instructors are encouraged to post class grades, so that you have constant access to how you are doing with your course assignments. The system also has the capability to chat with your classmates or instructor, join or begin a discussion thread, submit assignments, and create your own links to important information.
In the FCST 1010 classes, you will use GeorgiaVIEW to complete textbook content quizzes and track the points you accumulate for completed assignments. You are encouraged to explore other functions of the system on your own, so that you will be familiarized with the system before using it in other courses.

Georgia Highlands College provides access to an Email account for each student enrolled in courses. You should be checking your GHC Email inbox on a regular basis. GHC Email is considered official communication with the school. Students are notified through this system of any important information, dates, events, or school closings. Many professors use Email to communicate assignments or even if class must be cancelled.

It is a good idea to get into the habit of regularly checking your GHC Email. Most suggest that you check your inbox at least once each day you attend classes.
To catch any class cancellations, you may want to check your inbox before driving to campus.
Checking your email on the weekend is not usually required, but will keep you up to date and in the habit. Sometimes professors or administration will send weekend updates.
Online students should check their GHC Email accounts on a daily basis!
