FCST 1020:  Your College to Career Course

Sign up for FCST 1020 and discover your vocational calling and develop a life plan that will help you achieve your academic and career goals.  This course will help you discover what will make you most happy in your chosen life-long work and successfully choose the right major and career.  Learn how to determine your values and interests and their importance in creating the work life that best suits your long-term desires and needs.  Interest assessments, career research, baccalaureate programs, career professionalism, and work ethics are some of the major areas to be covered.  This two-hour course is recommended for any student not sure of a major or career, but also provides helpful educational and career strategies for students who have already chosen a desired vocation.

    A.C.E. (Adult Cohort Education) FCST 1020-80832,
    COMM 1100-80083, POLS 1101-80239 and ENGL 1101-80833
    are a linked Learning Community for Adult and Veteran
    students who want to "ACE" college using a flexible schedule
    that will allow them to tend to job, family or military
    duties outside the classroom. Students must register for all
    four courses. Students will complete this accelerated
    program through a combnination of face-to-face and
    on-line instruction. Please note that this cohort is 11
    semester hours and is not considered to be a full-time load.
    Students wishing to enroll full-time (12 hrs or more), may
    wish to add a course that compliments this cohort. For more
