WHAT IS eFolioWorld?
eFolioWorld is a digital portfolio system that gives the user an electronic platform for self-expression, and can be maintained dynamically over time; to collect work, reflect on assignments, and share personal experiences. Georgia Highlands College feels it is important for students to have a venue to showcase their efforts and growth during their time at our institution. This electronic platform encourages students to reflect on their own learning, leading to more awareness of learning strategies and needs. ePortfolios demonstrate wider dimensions of learning than just paper-and-pencil reports or exercises. For example, within an electronic portfolio, a student can add digital audio or video and graphics to document evidence of learning.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
- Signing up for an eFolioWorld account is fast and easy. Begin by accessing the account set-up page here: https://signup.efolioworld.com/ .
- The third window will prompt you for a SIGN-UP CODE. This code can be aquired from your instructor. It is important for you to have the correct code, or your work will be stored on an incorrect server.
- When you enter the correct sign-up code, the next window will display FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE.
- Continue to the next two windows to verify your age and email address. Use you GHC email address to aquire this account.
- Under the ACCOUNT DETAILS window, it is only necessary to provide your name, postal code, organization (Georgia Highlands College), and create a password.
THE FIRST TIME YOU LOG-IN
- The first time you log into your account (https://login.efolioworld.com/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fOwner%2fAdminUI.aspx&ui=mouse), you will notice a TO-DO list blinking in the left hand tool bar. There are twelve items in this TO-DO list. These items will walk you choosing the design of your page, setting up your WELCOME page, and completing your CONTACT INFORMATION page.
TIPS FOR FIRST TIME USERS
- If you would like for everything you type into a BASIC CONTENT window to show up, make sure to type your text into the FULL TEXT window. You will only see the title of what you type, if you type into the BRIEF TEXT window.
- When you create or upload content (text, documents, pictures, videos, etc.) you will NOT SEE IT APPEAR ON YOUR PAGE. Any content you create or upload is stored under MY CONTENT. Once you locate your content, you simply drag and drop it onto the page and column you would like for it to appear on.
- You must change your settings to PUBLIC if you would like for it to be accessible by your guests.

If you would like to keep your page PRIVATE, you will need to INVITE guests to your page for viewing. Follow the steps below to complete this process.
- Access your ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
- Select VISITORS in the toolbar to the left.
- ADD NEW visitors by typing in their name and email address.
- An invitation email will be sent to each authorized guest you add.
- Proof read and spellcheck all work before creating or uploading into eFolioWorld. There is no spelling and grammar reviewer embedded into the eFolioWorld program.
