- Construct and post your WELCOME MESSAGE. (5 points) Your welcome message is the first encounter your virtual guest has with you. It is important to construct your message in a professional, inviting manner. Let your guest know what to expect when they browse your pages. To build your message, constuct a NEW CONTENT, BASIC file. You will then drag and drop that file into the center pane of your HOME page build screen (video below demonstrates this proces
- Here is an example of a well-constructed welcome message.
My name is XXXXXX, and I would love to take this opportunity to welcome you to my eFolio. You will find in these pages information about me, my educational pursuits, my hobbies and my passions. Thank you for taking the time to look around.
- Upload an IMAGE for your HOME page. Drag and drop your image anywhere on your HOME page that you would like it. (3 points) You may choose to upload a personal image or any image that you like and feel represents an aspect of your personality. The image you upload should be appropriate and professional. Even if you never choose to use this portfolio for a job search or university application, it is still searchable content. Therefore, it is important that you choose an image that you would not mind a potential employer or acceptance committee to access. The advice above is true for any images or text you post anywhere on the Internet. The Youtube link below will take you to a news report highlighting the issue of social media and how it effects the job search process.

You will need to drag and drop your NEW CONTENT, CONTACT file to one of the sidebars on your HOME page. Watch the video below for further details on completing this step.

You want to add a personal flair to your page, while remaining professional. Correct grammar and/or spelling is of utmost importance. You may even add images or URL links to spruce your page up a bit. To complete step 3, choose ONE (NOT BOTH) of the methods below to complete this step. (20 points)

STEP 4 : FIRST YEAR GOAL (S.M.A.R.T. Goal)
You can attain most any goal you set when you plan your steps wisely and establish a time frame that allows you to carry out those steps. Goals that may have seemed far away and out of reach eventually move closer and become attainable, not because your goals shrink, but because you grow and expand to match them. When you list your goals you build your self-image. You see yourself as worthy of these goals, and develop the traits and personality that allow you to possess them.
