FCST 1010 Course Grading and Due Date Checklist

 

The grading system in the FCST 1010 course is based on a 1000 point scale.  Throughout the term, you will accumulate points for completing four different types of assignment.  The biggest portion of the grading pie is accumulated through eFolioWorld electronic portfolio posts (600 points total).  These three assignments will help you become comfortable using the system and allow you to explore the rewards of Service Learning and Leadership.  Service and leadership form the backdrop for all other content components of the course, and support successful practices throughout college and career.  The remaniing 400 course points are shared between class participation or discussion, content quizzes, and a final presentation.  The FCST 1010 course has an activity designation, so there are no tests or final exams.  Your grade represents the effort you input towards completing course assignments.

Course Grading Checklist

Below, you will find a checklist for all of the possible points in the FCST 1010 course.  Your instructor will provide you with specific due dates.  Within the checklist are live links to assignment or log-in pages.  Each student is encouraged to download the checklist, print it off, and track their own points for the course.  Use your checklist to compare to the VISTA grade book your instructor updates.  This system will provide you with a means of keeping your grades and double-checking them against your instructor's records.  Please, notify your instructor immediately of any discrepencies between your checklist and the VISTA grade book.
