Division of Academic Success and eLearning
The Division of Academic Success and eLearning provides an entry point to higher education for first-year students, including those who need more practice in key areas to provide a good foundation for success. We also provide programs for students who need or prefer online courses. Our services include
- Framework and support for eLearning courses throughout the college
- First-Year Experience programs
- Assessment (Testing) programs
- Learning Support courses in English, mathematics, and reading for skills necessary to complete and thrive in college-level work
We measure our success in accordance with the student learning outcomes for our courses and the college, as well as the performance of students in the classes and assessments that follow our courses. We recruit and support highly-qualified faculty who specialize in helping students get ready for new challenges.
We strive to provide excellent customer service through our administrative functions, and we give annually to the Carol Callahan Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes non-traditional students who have successfully completed developmental classes and are taking core academic courses at Georgia Highlands College.
