Courageous Conversations

Our development series "Courageous Conversations" is based on the work of Glenn Singleton, whose book by the same name was selected for the 2010 Diversity Summit of the University System of Georgia. Out of that summit and keynote by Singleton, GHC developed its own open series of lectures, discussions, presentations, and development, designed to spur critical thinking and meaningful dialogue about the sometimes difficult topics we face inside the classroom and in our campus communities. We believe, like Singleton, that it takes courage to have these conversations, but that what we learn from one another is more than worth the potential difficulty of exploring these issues.

If you have a chance, please consider visiting one of our Courageous Conversations. Better still, if you believe you have an idea for a Courageous Conversation, please see the submission guidelines posted below and consider proposing a conversation!

For more information or resources on our series, please see the excellent Library Guide, created by one of our librarians, Stacy Brown. http://getlibraryhelp.highlands.edu/Courageous_Conversations_GHC
