Brother2Brother Sponsors Reading for Black History Month

On Wed., Feb. 27, Brother 2 Brother, a college organization for minority male students, sponsored a reading of works by African-American writers on every campus to commemorate Black History Month.  Student organizers of the events included Josh Brown, Floyd; Isaac DeShields, Cartersville; Reggie May, Marietta; Victor Williams and Roderick Presswood, Douglasville; and David Martinez, Paulding.   The readings were open to all students, faculty and staff, and a variety of works by  African-American writers were presented, including selections by Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Lucille Clifton, Frederick Douglass, Robert Hayden, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Maya Angelou, Persia Walker and many others.
