Admissions - GED Students
Students that have previously applied to GHC or been enrolled at GHC but have been out for more than one year should complete the application for readmissions/update application. There is no charge for this application.
Admissions Requirements

Must have satisfactory completed the GED

Students that complete the GED will be required to make up any College Prep Curriculum (CPC) Deficiencies required for their program by completing the COMPASS Placement test and signing up for and taking college courses that will not count towards graduation (English and Math are satisfied with testing, Social Science, Natural Science, and Foreign Language require coursework to be completed in college)
Steps to Enrollment
| Step 1 | Complete an admissions application and pay the $20 application fee |
| Step 2 | Provide a copy of your GED test scores and certificate |
| Step 3 | An official high school transcript up to the point you were enrolled |

| Step 4 | Register to take the COMPASS exam through the Check Admissions Status link |
| Step 5 | Register to attend Orientation through the Check Admissions Status link (at orientation you will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes) |
GED Applicants Under the Age of 18

GED applicants under the age of 18 at the time of enrollment will follow the admissions requirements for GED applicants but will also be required to complete the additional steps listed below

Provide two letters of recommendation from individuals outside the family who are in position to speak to the students maturity and educational potential

Participate in an interview with the Admissions Committee

Provide SAT or ACT Scores that are at or above our previous freshman class average of 450 Verbal and 450 Math
