Transfer Credits

Transfer Credit for Incoming Transfer Students

Every effort is made to allow transfer credit for academic work completed at other institutions of higher education. In general, courses completed with a passing grade at a regionally accredited college or university will transfer.

Transferable course credit from COC accredited technical colleges in the State of Georgia may be transferred as per an agreement between the USG and DTAE.

Requests for evaluation of transfer credit will only be considered after an admissions application has been completed, application fee paid, and official transcripts from all other institutions attended have been received. You may contact the Office of Admissions at 706-295-6339 or online at www.highlands.edu, Prospective Students, Check Admissions Status.

Courses are transferred in as semester hours.

Any questions regarding course credit which was not transferred should be directed to the Registrar's Office at the college. After review by the Registrar, further concerns may be directed to Carolyn Hamrick, Ombudsperson, on the Marietta Campus.
