Graduation Requirements
Each student who plans to graduate from Georgia Highlands College must complete the Graduation Application Form at least 2 semesters prior to the term you anticipate completing degree requirements. The fee for graduation is $20.00.
You will be sent an evaluation of your course credits and advised of any requirements needed to graduate within 2 weeks of your application.
Diplomas are issued during our annual ceremony in May of each year. If you do not plan to participate, your diploma will be mailed to you the week after the ceremony. Please make certain we have your current mailing address on file.
Diplomas
and transcripts will not be released if you have a financial obligation
to the College. This obligation may be a financial aid exit interview
for loan students, fines at the library or business office hold. You may
check your holds on the SCORE. It is the student's responsibility to clear
all holds or financial obligations.

Can
I send someone to pick up my diploma for me?
You may authorize an agent to pick up your diploma with your written request.
The agent must provide their own picture ID.
An
error was made on my diploma. How do I get it corrected?
You should return the diploma to the Registrar's Office at Georgia Highlands College
on the Rome Campus at the above address. The $25 replacement fee will
be charged if the error was yours rather than the College's.
My
name has changed. How can I make sure this is reflected on my diploma?
Diplomas are ordered March 1 of each year. Name changes with supporting
documentation should be mailed or presented to the Registrar's Office
no later than this date. Any changes received after March 1 may be too
late to enact. Name changes submitted after this date require a $25 replacement
fee.
My
original diploma was lost or destroyed. How may I obtain a replacement?
A replacement diploma may be obtained by writing:

You should give all pertinent information, such as degree earned, name
and year of graduation and enclose your check or money order for $25.00,
made payable to Georgia Highlands College. Replacement diplomas bear the signatures
of the current officials of the College and University System.
