Compass Testing Dates

Students Admitted for Fall 2008

COMPASS TESTING INFORMATION!

COST: $20.00 NON-REFUNDABLE INITIAL TEST FEE!

PLEASE READ AND KEEP FOR YOUR USE!

YOU MUST:

1. PAY the $20 NON-REFUNDABLE COMPASS Testing Fee in the Accounting Services Office in the McCorkle

(Administration) Building on the date of your test on the Floyd campus. Pay at the Business Office (across the hall from the testing office) on the Cartersville campus on the date of your test.

2. Take the COMPASS Placement Test
3. Bring a Picture I.D. (i.e. Driver's License, School I.D.)
4. Bring your "STEPS TO ENROLLMENT" Papers (Enclosed)
5. Check In at chosen test site 30 MINUTES PRIOR to Test Time
6. Contact Cartersville Testing Center at jdoster@highlands.edu or 678-872-8001 for Cartersville test appointment. For general testing information for GHC visit http://www.highlands.edu/academics/academicaffairs/success/assessment/index.htm
7. Walk-in at the Rome/Floyd campus library on test date to test. No appointment necessary there. In case of a large group, be prepared to wait to test.

YOU MAY BRING:

1. A calculator for Algebra Test (graphing allowed; see www.act.org website for allowable calculators)
2. A dictionary for English/Writing Test IF ENGLISH IS NOT your primary language
3. Visit ACT website http://www.highlands.edu/academics/academicaffairs/success/tutorial to access sample tests or go to http://www.highlands.edu, click on Current Students, and then click on Tutorial Center
