EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 5-7 years experience in an executive administrative position, preferably in higher education.

•    Advanced skill level needed in MS Office 07 with knowledge of using Outlook and accessing the Internet.         

·         Should have excellent communication skills—both verbal and oral.  Strength in spelling, writing, and grammar is an absolute requirement.

·         Strong organization and people skills needed.

·         Ability to work independently as well as having strong problem-solving skills.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Maintenance and production of office correspondence, reports, faculty contracts, and minutes (Cabinet/Council meetings) as well as answering phone and greeting visitors.

•    Serve as chair of Graduation Committee and coordinate with Nursing Division regarding Nursing Pinning Ceremony.

·         Schedule appointments, maintain President’s calendar, and coordinate meetings and social functions as needed.

·         Record financial obligations of the office and balance departmental budget.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

SALARY RANGE:                    Commensurate with education and experience

BEGINNING DATE:                  May 2008
