I went to State University of West Georgia, where I earned a Masters in Education with a major in mathematics and a Education Specialist with a major in mathematics. My undergraduate work in Mathematics was completed at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Presently, I recently retired from Lockheed Martin where I worked as a Systems Analyst/Programmer for twenty-two years. Most of my work is programming in Cobol and Fortran for manufacturing systems on an IBM 3090 main frame computer. I also have programmed in other languages such as C, C++, and Java. Also, I have worked with Power Point, Excel, Access, HTML and Web Design.
During graduate school, I became interested in teaching College Algebra and have continued to teach full time. My research thesis for the Education Specialist Degree was to study the effect of graphing technology on student performance in the study of functions.
