QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree required; three years of Financial Aid or related experience in academic environment preferred
· Strong interpersonal/organizational skills and effective communication skills (written & oral) needed
· Excellent customer service skills are a must and must have the ability to deal with stressful situations
· Must be able to work as a team member and/or independently. Multi-tasking skills required
· Must have experience with Microsoft Office or related software. BANNER experience preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the staff in counseling students and parents concerning Financial Aid programs, options, and requirements
·
Oversee the
processing of state and federal student financial aid including but not limited
to reviewing files for appeals and special circumstances
·
Assist with Financial
Aid workshops within the community and at orientations
· Travel to all campus locations as needed and occasionally work non-standard business hours.
· Serve on committees outside of the department to facilitate communication between Financial Aid and other college departments
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
