ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO VICE PRESIDENT

FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Two year’s experience in an administrative office; higher education office                  experience preferred.

    Strong computer knowledge - Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and Internet.     

·        Excellent communication and people skills as well as excellent organizational skills  required.

·       Thorough knowledge of grammar and punctuation required.

·       Ability to maintain records, prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and manage      small projects.

·       Knowledge of basic bookkeeping needed.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Answer telephone, greet visitors, and direct to appropriate office as needed.

    Maintain Vice President’s calendar.

·       Provide general clerical support to the Office of Academic Affairs.

·       Assist and organize projects and take minutes of meetings.

·       Order supplies and maintain departmental budget.

·       Ability to maintain website and create newsletters a plus.

 

SALARY RANGE:                Commensurate with education and experience
