Q: What is Institutional Research?
A: The scope of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Research includes strategic planning, assessment and evaluation, process and policy analysis, institutional quality control and effectiveness, coordination of planning and analysis with other College offices and governance structure, establishing baseline data, and preparing analytical reports.

Q: What is a Census Date? Can I get information before official data is available?
A1: Census date is the instructional day of each semester or summer when College data is officially reported to BOR-USG.
A2: Yes, preliminary data is available for all semesters, if requested, and should be used as such. Census date data is used to maintain comparable point-in-time data.
Q: How do I apply for financial aid and how much is available?
A: For specific details on Financial Aid, visit the Financial Aid website.
Q: What is the preferred method of applying to GHC?
A: The preferred method of applying to GHC is our online application located at GHC Admissions Office On-line Application Page. Applicants with problems accessing the Internet may contact the GHC Admissions Office Webpage for specific help in completing their application.

A: You can access information about student enrollment-related data by visiting the OIEPR Website, under Publications Section---Fact Books -Student Data; and under the Reporting Section--IPEDS Information, or Common Data Sets.
Q: How many students are enrolled this year?
A: Enrollment data is published every semester and can be found in the OIEPR Website, under Publications Section--Data Profiles and Data Briefs.
Q: Where do GHC students come from?
A: The top "feeder" High Schools can be located through the GHC Fact Book, under the Student Data Section--Top 25 Feeder High Schools in the State of Georgia.
Q: Where can I get information on the diversity of GHC students?
A: You can access data on diversity through the GHC annually published Fact Book, under Student Data Section-Enrollment by Self-Declared Ethnic Group; or through the GHC Quick Facts, under Race/Ethnicity.
