How We Do It?
We perform our tasks by:
1. Sustaining the mission of the College through continuous study and analysis of institutional data to support decisions regarding institutional planning, budgeting, human resources, assessment and evaluation of student learning, individual performance, and institutional effectiveness;
2. Providing an exchange of information which augments and facilitates informed decisions;
3. Critically reviewing and initiating appropriate and relevant actions in response to assessment results provided by a variety of reports and/or data;
4. Designing, collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and distributing information, research and survey data to appropriate individuals and units of GHC;
5. Assessing the relevance and value-added potential of institutional effectiveness processes to GHC;
6. Assembling relevant value-added reports and planning documents to the advantage of GHC operations;
7. Acting as intermediary between the functional units to bring about change in policies and procedures that ensure higher degree of standardization and integrity of data in administrative processes;
8. Providing helpful consultation to College Community concerning appropriate research design, effective survey development, test and measurement pedagogy, and appropriate instrumentation for institutional assessment;
9. Gathering, generating, organizing, and storing research data to ensure that the college mission statement is reflected in the results of the educational and public service programs of the college;
10. Instituting institutional studies and providing analytic information and relevant analysis to ensure that the college goals and objectives at all levels are comprehensive, concise, clear, and consistent with institutional purpose in support of curriculum and instruction;
11. Ensuring that the systems for data gathering, storage, and dissemination of research findings and service deliverables enhances procedures for evaluating the extent to which GHC educational goals and objectives are being achieved, and are comprehensive, systematic, integrative, and research-based to produce reliable information at all levels for informed decisions;
12. Providing decision support systems to ensure a fiscally sound management of the College's resources that enhance institutional performance, accountability, effectiveness, and continuous quality improvement;
13. Facilitating College Strategic Planning and Policy Formation processes, and ensuring that evaluative results are used continuously for the improvement of educational programs, operations, and services to maximize institutional productivity; and
14. Ensuring that GHC meets re-accreditation and federal, state, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
