Welcome to the Georgia
Highlands College chapter of the American Association of
University Professors (AAUP).
The AAUP is a professional organization dedicated to the
interests of academic freedom and addressing issues commonly put
before members of the college-level teaching profession. The
organization maintains a national office in Washington, DC, with
regional offices at the state level, and finally the individual
chapter level.
The Georgia Highlands Chapter was
established in 1977. It is one of the few two-year schools
that maintains a chapter of the AAUP. Membership is
represented on all of its campuses.
