Ecore Ends at GHC
Due to the recent state-mandated budget cuts and its own internal review, Georgia Highlands College has announced that it will drop its participation in eCore, the University System of Georgia’s statewide online core curriculum, at the end of spring semester 2009. However, Georgia Highlands College is committed to offering a quality education to its students and already offers many online courses of its own. As enrollment continues to grow and the geographic service area expands, the college will find ever-expanding means to meet the diverse needs of its student population. These means include Web-based course offerings and hybrid courses (a combination of online and in-class instruction). In addition, plans for the possible opening of educational sites in Paulding and Douglas County are on-going.
