What is eCore?

eCore, the Electronic Core Curriculum, provides you the opportunity to complete the
first two years or "core" curriculum of your collegiate career in an online environment.
You will find that you have an opportunity for increased flexibility and convenience in
course scheduling.

The curriculum consists of freshman and sophomore level courses that are designed,
developed, taught and supported by faculty and staff from the University System of
Georgia. The courses are offered in English, mathematics, science, history, and the
social sciences. These courses comply with ADA standards and meet the needs of
students with disabilities or special needs.

All eCore courses are offered through accredited University System of Georgia
institutions. As a current eCore student, you must be registered through one of the six
Affiliate Institutions listed below:

● Georgia Highlands College
● Georgia Southwestern State University
● Southern Polytechnic State University
● University of West Georgia
● Valdosta State University
