My Settings
You can adjust how D2L looks and how certain things work by using the My Settings widget. When you log in, you see the My Settings widget on your My Home page. Just click on each link to see your options, most of which are self-explanatory. Note that this is where you can change your initial D2L password.
The My Settings widget (Fig 1) allows you to:
- Edit your Profile
- Set your D2L Preferences
- Set up Notifications
- Change your password
- View your Progress

Preferences
You can use the Prefences page (Fig 2) to set preferences around how you view and interact with tools in the learning environment. As you click each tab, there is an explanation of what each panel does.
For example, if you click the "Appearence and Accessibility" tab, you can change the font and font size used on all pages as you use D2L.
