Course Home
Each course you are registered for that uses D2L has its own Course Home page.
Some GHC courses don't use D2L, so although you will see all the courses you are registered for in your My Courses widget, you won't see a Course Home page for one that doesn't use D2L.
Figure 1 shows the Course Home page for a course called "D2LtrainingbasicsCO".
The same navigation bar you saw on your My Home page also appears on the Course Home page —it is always at the top of each page in D2L.
Next are the course title, then under the title are the course navigation bar, or "navbar" and four course home page widgets: Content Browser, News, Events and Updates.
Course Home navbar
The Course Home page navbar is shown in Figure 2.
Each course has its own navbar: you can use the Course Home navbar to:
- See course contents
- Join Discussions
- Turn in assignments via Dropbox
- Take Quizzes
- View the Classlist
- See your Grades
- Chat with whoever is online in D2L
- Logout
The Content Browser widget
You use the Content Browser widget (Fig 3) to see and access the course material: pages, video clips, links to websites, quizzes, discussions, etc. —everything the instructor has put in the course.
Later in the tutorial you will see how to use the Content Browser widget to access the material in the course.
