Meet The Insiders

The Insiders are the new student orientation leaders that assist with the varioius orientation sessions, called The Inside Scoop, held throughout the year. The Insiders are well-trained student leaders who serve as the connection between the campus and the new incoming students. Applications for these paid positions are accepted in the Spring, and all students selected must complete an intensive series of training classes, workshops, and group projects.

Zach Green Sophomore at Georgia Highlands College with a major in Business Administration with plans to transfer to UGA to earn his Bachelor's degree. Zach has made the Dean's List and participates in intramural sports here at GHC. His hobbies include guitar, golf and enjoying any and all outdoor activities. 	Jesus Lamberti Came to the United States 5 years ago from Caracas, Venezuela. Jesus is a Physics major at GHC and plans to be involved on the Six Mile Post this year. He plans to transfer to Georgia Tech to major in Chemical Engineering and play football as a kicker. His future goal is to move to Europe and obtain a position as a professional engineer. When he's not working, Jesus' hobbies include airplanes and flight, computers, math and technology. jlamb00@highlands.edu
John McPherson Has completed his first year at GHC and begins the Georgia Highlands Nursing program in Aug. 2005 on his way to becoming a nurse anesthetist. John returned to college after serving in the US Navy and working as a Control Room Operator. John enjoys reading, vegetable gardening (ask about his awards) and paintball. 	Lisa Melendez Sophomore Business Administration major who hopes to transfer to West Georgia or UGA when she graduates from Georgia Highlands in Spring 2006. She was inducted into the psychology honor society, Psi Beta, in 2002. Lisa worked in human resources and retail management prior to starting college. Selena Parrish Sophomore early childhood education major planning to obtain a Bachelors degree from KSU or UWG. She is a member of Psi Beta (psychology), president of the GHC chapter of SPAGE, and works in the GHC library while maintaining her Dean's list status. She has been on the Dean's List. Selena's hobbies include camping, traveling, her 2 puppies, music, cooking, gardening and decorating "Southern style". sparr02@highlands.edu
	Candice Peugh Freshman pre nursing major at GHC from Rome. Her ultimate goal is Georgia State School of Law to study law. Candice works in the Access Center on campus. She loves playing with her 2-year son and enjoys reading Harry Potter books, spending time with friends and shopping. cpeug00@highlands.edu
Cristal Reynolds freshmen pre nursing major at GHC. She has worked in the GHC Biology lab for a year. Cristal's goal is to work in the nursing field and she plans to obtain her BSN after she graduates from GHC. Her hobbies include hiking, traveling, and playing the guitar.
