1. Who are the reserved parking spaces for?

A: Faculty and Staff

2. Will I get a ticket for parking in the reserved spaces if I am a student?

A: Yes, and no. Yes, if the time is between 7am and 5:30pm.  No, if the time is after 5:30pm

3.Do I have to put my parking hang tag on the rear-view mirror?

A: Yes, unless there is no rear view mirror. On the dash or in a readily viewable place with the numbers showing is acceptable

4. If I have a hang tad but have to drive another car will I get a ticket?

A: Yes, however, temporary parking permits are available from the Security/Safety Office at no charge.

5.  If I have a temporary injury can I park in the handicapped parking space?

A: Yes, but only if you have a temporary handicap premit from the Security/Safety Office.  A Physician’s letter is required.

6. When do I have to pay my ticket?

A: Anytime before the end of the current academic term. NOTE: If the ticket is NOT paid after 7 business days A 50% penalty will apply.

7. What if I disagree with my ticket?

A: Bring the ticket to the Security/Safety Office within 5 days and tell the Officer why you disagree.  You may appeal within 7 calendar days through the Office of Campus Safety.

8. What is the speed limit on campus?

A: 15 Miles per hour.

9.  What do I do if I am involved in a traffic accident on campus?

A: Call Security for assistance.

10. Can Security help me if my battery is dead or my keys are locked in my car?

A: Yes, we will attempt (with your written permission) to jump start your car or unlock your car.

11. Can the Security/Safety Department help me locate someone on campus in the event of an emergency?

A: Yes, if the person is a current student, faculty or staff member.
