Library
The Georgia Highlands College Library has libraries located at four sites which support the College’s academics and professional programs. Their combined collections of print volumes, audiovisual materials, and thousands of electronic titles cover a wide subject range including the fine arts, biomedical and physical sciences, humanities, sign language, and social sciences.
The online catalog lists the large majority of items in the libraries’ collections. The coverage of holdings varies from one library to another. This catalog identifies the books, videos, and journals that the institution owns. GALILEO is another rich resource for the Georgia Highlands College community. It is a statewide online database that provides access to thousands of electronic journals through the Internet.
The Main Library System consists of the Rome Campus Library and the Haralson Center Library. Georgia Highlands College has also entered into agreements with the North Metro Tech Library and the Cartersville High School Library to use those libraries as the libraries for the Georgia Highlands College’s Centers at North Metro Tech and Cartersville.
In addition to providing users with
an array of informational, instructional, and research resources, through cooperative agreements users also have access to additional collections and services available from the University System Libraries.
