Counseling and Career Services
The Counseling and Career Services Department provides a wide range of counseling, outreach, and consultation services to the college community. These services include career, academic and personal counseling, job search assistance and student success activities. Services, which are provided by professionally trained staff, are confidential, voluntary, and free to enrolled students. Career information is available to alumni and prospective students.
Students avail themselves of services for a variety of reasons. These reasons might include seeking help in deciding on a major and/or a career direction; in improving study skills or overcoming test anxiety; in coping with a personal crisis; in dealing with personal issues such as concerns about self esteem, relationship issues, alcohol and drugs, sexuality, family conflicts, and/or managing priorities.
The Resource Library, located on the Rome Central Campus, houses transfer college information, and self-help brochures, books, various software programs, and other materials that aid student success.
