Charger Card

The student identification/debit card, the Charger Card, can be obtained in the Charger Card Office located next to the bookstore near the cafeteria. The Charger Card is used for admission to campus activities, library functions (checkouts and copy making), and purchases in the cafeteria, bookstore, and through vending machines.

Money must be deposited on the card in order to utilize it the above purchasing capacities. Value Transfer Stations (VTS) are located outside the Charger Card Office, in the Library, at Heritage Hall and at each off campus site for depositing funds. The VTS machines only accept cash and do not give change.. Students should possess a Charger Card at all times while on any of the Georgia Highlands College campuses.

The card is the property of Georgia Highlands College, is nontransferable, and must be presented to any college official upon request. Students are required to pay a technology fee of $17.00 per semester for the card and services. The fee for a lost or stolen Charger card is $5.00; lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately to the Charger Card Office so the card may be suspended.
