Early Bird Advising
Early Bird Advising is a day-long event conducted each semester at each instructional site of Georgia Highlands College. It provides ready access to advisors for students who wish to discuss long-term course planning to make certain that they can complete their programs or transfer goals on a timely basis. Generally, early-bird advising sessions do not cover the selection of specific classes, days, and times for a particular semester. Instead, advisors and students focus on how to meet the requirements of an entire program or transfer to a four-year institution in the most efficient way across several semesters. Questions such as how a change of major would affect existing credits are also covered during Early Bird Advising for those who may wish to change.
No appointment is needed for Early Bird Advising. The schedule for this event can be found here.
