ENGL 0099 (Developmental English)
These GHC SLOs apply to this course.
- Communication: Students will demonstrate their ability to express ideas logically and clearly in standard written English.
- Technology: Students will demonstrate ability to prepare course assignments in a variety of courses using computer technology.
These more specific SLOs are expected outcomes of this course.
- Through writing short essays, students will demonstrate their ability to conceive ideas about a topic, synthesize and arrange them logically, and express them clearly in written standard English.
- Through written assignments, students will demonstrate their understanding of development.
- Through writing and revision, students will demonstrate their
mastery of proofreading skills developed through an understanding of the
principles, mechanics, and terminology of standard English usage.
FCST 1010 (The College Experience)
These GHC SLOs apply to this course.
- Communication: Students will demonstrate their ability to read, analyze, and comprehend college level written texts.
- Communication: Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver a short, effective speech on a topic.
- Information Literacy: Students will be able to, individually or as a member of a group, use information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose.

MATH 0097 (Elementary Algebra)

READ 0099 (Developmental Reading)
This GHC SLO applies to this course.
- Communication: Students will demonstrate the ability to speak logically, clearly, and precisely and demonstrate the ability, through accurate reading and listening, to acquire, organize, present, and document information and ideas.

- Students will acquire the ability to use context clues and structural analysis to derive meanings of new words from college textbooks. Students will complete exercises and take tests from a supplementary vocabulary textbook.
- Students will complete reading exercises in the primary text and demonstrate this proficiency on tests of both literal and critical reading skills.
- Students will earn a grade of C or better and pass the exit exam at
the end of the semester.
RGTE 0199 (Regents' Test Preparation for Writing)

- Communication: Students will demonstrate their ability to express ideas logically and clearly in standard written English.
